Acclaimed writer, E. L. Doctorow, author of Billy Bathgate, The Book of Daniel, and Ragtime, talks about his latest novel, Homer and Langley, a fictionalized account of the wealthy but reclusive Collyer Brothers, whose obsessive-compulsive hoarding disorder led them to fill their Harlem brownstone with 130 tons of stuff that they couldn’t bear to throw away.
