As a musician, audio engineer and producer, Todd's life is filled with music and sound. His duties of producing the music performances on Classical 91.7's
The Front Row, allow him the pleasure of working with many of the world's most prominent musicians and performers, as well as the excitement of creating live music on the radio.
Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work with almost every musical style imaginable, classical, jazz, folk, gospel, rock, world music, and with ensembles ranging from huge orchestras to the solo
udderbot. He has also run cameras, location sound recording for film and video, recording, editing and mastering a wide variety of CD releases, video post production, sound effect editing and production for numerous web based audio projects and sites.
Prior to KUHF, Todd worked with Smithsonian Productions in Washington D.C. on a wide variety of award winning projects including
Jazz Smithsonian; NPR's
Jazz Profiles;
Remembering Slavery; and
Memphis: Cradle of Rock 'n' Soul. He also has produced exhibit audio and audio tours for the Smithsonian Institution. He was nominated for a Grammy for
The Jazz Singers CD collection, and received a George Foster Peabody Award for his work on
Mississippi: River of Song.
