Pat Hernandez is a general assignments reporter who joined the KUHF news staff in February of 2008. A native Texan, Pat was born in San Antonio and has called the Houston-area home for over three decades. A licensed broadcaster for over 30 years, Pat has seen and done it all, from disc jockey and technician, to mentor, breaking news reporter and talk show host. Pat's career has spanned six presidential administrations, over five different Houston mayors, and stories that ranged from shocking to heartwarming.

Pat is the proud father of Seth, who joined the Army two weeks after 9/11. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including The Army Achievement Medal and Army Commendation Medal. Seth is the father of Pat's beautiful granddaughter.
