Bill Stamps joined the KUHF news team in April of 2007. Since joining KUHF he has been recognized for his coverage during Hurricane Ike, winning first place awards from the Houston Press Club and Texas Associated Press Broadcasters for his story on a Galveston woman affected by the storm.

Bill began his broadcast career in 1992 as a news reporter for the NBC affiliate in Tri-Cities, Washington. From there Bill went to Tallahassee, Florida where he worked for the CBS affiliate and headed their bureau in Thomasville, Georgia. Bill made more career stops in Birmingham, Alabama and Fresno, California.

At Fox News in San Diego, he covered such national stories as the devastating wildfires of 2001 and a school shooting in which more than a dozen students where shot.

Bill and his wife enjoy dancing and barbequing by the pool in their spare time. He is also an avid follower of his alma mater, the Washington Husky Football team.
