Music for Peace

Foundation for Modern Music presents another installment of the Music for Peace Series in the serene setting of Rothko Chapel. As history has shown, artists have always been a target when their arts challenge the political views of those in power. This program celebrates the music of several composers who were subjected to exile, among them DeFalla, Stravinsky, Yun, Amots and Milhaud. Hosted by Chris Johnson (Classical 91.7FM), the performers will include Misha Penton (soprano), Anne Leek (oboe), Dan Strba (viola), Paul Boyd (piano) and Raúl Orlando Edwards (baritone).
